Children at the 10.30am service

Everyone starts altogether in church for the beginning of the service for sung worship and occasionally communion.

For under 3s there is a creche space within the church building which parents are able to use at any point during the service, in which the audio of the service can be heard. However, there is no obligation to leave the service if you and your child are happy. There are baby changing facilities within the disabled toilets in the church and community centre.

For 3 to 10s there is Kids' Church which meets in the community centre, currently in two different age groups. If you are visiting St John's or new to the church please accompany your child to the community centre so we can record some essential information otherwise children will be accompanied by the Kids' Church team.

Both groups start with a time of free play with drink and biscuits and then there are games, stories, chat and craft focused on stories from the Bible.

The aim of Kids' Church is to give the children opportunities to explore the Bible and how it helps us to live as followers of Jesus today. Our vision is for children to develop their own faith, which lasts their lifetimes.

For those in Year 6 and above we have our youth groups. Please select Youth from the side menu to find out more.
