Thursday Generation 

We want to support the senior citizens living in our area. We have various groups which meet on Thursdays throughout the month. They each offer help, support and friendship to older residents. Pick up a leaflet in church with all the details or you find it here.

We invite you to join us or if you know someone you think would like to come, please bring them along, and if transport is a problem please call the church office.

1st Thursday of the month – First Thursday service – 10:30am

If you know someone you think would like to come then please bring them along. Stay for tea, coffee and chat afterwards.

2nd Thursday – Evergreen Lunch Club – 12pm

This is for Senior Citizens in the parish over the age of 70. A warm welcome awaits everyone. Transport can be arranged and the meal costs just £5 per person. If you are coming for the first time please contact the church office first to book a place.

3rd Thursday – Discipleship group – 10am

This is time for Bible study, prayer, mutual support and encouragement. Meets in the church building.

4th Thursday – Thursday Friendship Club – 10am

It is a place to come and have tea or coffee and cake, and chat with like-minded people. Both ladies and gentlemen are most welcome.

5th Thursday – Extra Special Activities!

When there is a fifth Thursday in the month we hold some other form of entertainment. Do come along and bring your friends!

Events in 2026 are:

29th January 10am-12pm - Bingo and Biscuits

30th April 3pm-5pm - Afternoon Tea in The Community Centre

30th July No meeting

29th October 10am - Film on the big screen in church

We don’t meet throughout August.
