Built in 2012, our Community Centre is suitable for anything from small business meetings and staff training days to large groups, parties.
(Currently we are fully booked for Saturday daytime hires in 2017, only available from 6pm)

With seating for up to 210 and a well equipped kitchen. On-site parking and Wi-Fi are also included with your booking. Flip charts, PA system and projectors also available on request.
Situated just off the A12 and close to Colchester town centre this is a perfect venue for local business, social groups and parties.

How much is it to hire the Community Centre?
The rate depends on which room you require and how long for. We would be more than happy to discuss the different options with you, just drop us an email or call.
Can I look round the Community Centre?
Yes, you are very welcome to come and have a look round although we may need to arrange a time for you to come around existing bookings. Do get in touch to arrange a viewing.
How far in advance should I book?
We are happy to take bookings a year or more in advance and dates do fill up so we encourage you to book as soon as you can.
Can I hire on a Sunday?
Unfortunately we don't allow Sunday hires.
Do you have availability for weekly or monthly bookings?
We do have a limited number of regular times available, do get in touch to find out more.
Can I have a bouncy castle?
Yes, you are very welcome to have a bouncy castle but only in the Main Hall.
Can I hire a DJ or bring a sound system?
Yes, but only in the Main Hall.
Can I have a teenage party?
Unfortunately we cannot allow parties for 12-21 year olds.
Can I serve alcohol?
You are welcome to have alcohol although if you are serving or selling (i.e. not bring-your-own) you will need to apply for a Temporary Events Notice from the council for a small charge.
Will I need to set up the tables and chairs?
No, if you let us know in advance then our caretaker will be very happy to set up and tables and chairs you require for your arrival. He will also be there to meet you at the beginning of your booking and will be happy to explain any of the details about the building.
What facilities will I have use of?
All bookings include access to our toilets and our modern kitchen where you are welcome to prepare food and drink.
What is the latest my booking can finish?
All bookings must finish by 11pm Monday-Thursday and midnight Friday-Saturday.
Is it possible to hire rooms in the church too?
We do have a couple of rooms in the church which we hire out at select times during the week.
Can I get a bus to the Community Centre?
You can get the 2, 2a or 65 bus from Colchester North Station.
