Under-girding prayer is a key element in releasing resources to fulfil the vision we believe God has set before us. So we encourage all to get on board with private and corporate prayer and provide updates to highlight specific needs and suggested areas for prayer.
Current prayer requests for the project include:
November 2011
Give thanks and praise
- For house sale and release of £90,000 loan from member of congregation.
And continue to pray for
- Continuing building works and safety.
- Wise decision for scope of drive way work (poor foundations of existing roadway.)
- Good timing for driveway works to be completed, potentially up to 3 weeks.
- Efficient responses from utility companies to "reconnect" hall.
- Ongoing negotiations with Charity Bank.
- Bold and faithful responses to our Gift Day (Sunday November 20th)
September 2011
Give thanks for
- £2,500 received from DJH Currie Trust.
- The continued progress with the building.
And continue to pray for
- New Mechanical and Electrical contractors to be found.
- On going negotiations with SureStart to release final part of grant.
- Release of finances for £100,000 loan offered.
- Charity Bank application for loan to secure finances and avoid project delay.
- Safety for all personnel working on site.
- The Project Team.
July 2011
Give thanks and praise for
- Good building progress with minimal weather delays.
- The Lord's provision of funding: gifts from the congregation and loans from the Diocese.
- Aubrey, the site manager who has been moved back to a previous job but is hoping he might be able to return to us.
And pray for
- Personnel:
- Safety for those working on site.
- Mark (ISG Contracts Manager) and Keith (new site foreman) for wisdom as they organise ongoing contracts and works.
- A new Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor to be available.
- Project Team tasks this month
- Liaising with E.C.C. to release final part of SureStart Grant.
- Working with Diocese to release agreed loan.
- Compiling application for Charity Bank loan to assure final project funding.
- Attending to ongoing design issues.
- Finance
- House sale to release interest free loan of £100,000.
- Ongoing applications to grant making trusts.
June 2011
Give thanks and praise for
- Good progress with building works.
- Good relationships between neighbours, ISG Jackson and ourselves.
And pray for
- Discussions with Diocese and Charity Bank regarding loans for remaining funds required.
- Sale of property to release £100,000 loan from member of congregation.
- Ongoing grant applications, particularly Church and Community Fund and Henry Smith Charity.
May 2011
- Give thanks and praise for good prgress with ground works, nearly through risky part of building works for extra costs, still under budget at £1.215 million.
- Mortgage negotiations, especially with charity bank and diocese following changing circumstances with Barclays.
- Relationship with ISG Jackson, especially for understanding with our funding.
- Further grant applications to be successful.
- Planning and preparation for the Community Open Day on July 9th.
